Whales can't tell us about the changing oceans, moose don't understand crosswalks, and bears are definitely not welcome at town hall meetings. Founded in 1978, the Alaska Wildlife Alliance gives a local voice to Alaska’s wildlife by advocating for healthy ecosystems across the state. Every year, we host a winter Hibernation Celebration fundraiser to build support for our wildlife conservation programs across the state. This year we are also celebrating our 45th Anniversary! We’d be thrilled to have you join us in celebrating Alaska’s wildlife and our anniversary.
When: Sunday December 3rd, 3pm-6pm
Where: O’Malley’s on the Green, 3651 O'Malley Rd, Anchorage, AK 99507
This "Alaska Formal" celebration includes hardy appetizers and a drink ticket, door prizes, a grand prize raffle, an amazing silent auction, a dance performance by the Kingikmiut Dance Group, a brief presentation on AWA’s work this year, and more! Join us for the chance to win great prizes, and check back often as our prize list grows and we update them here. All funds support Alaska Wildlife Alliance's wildlife conservation programs across the state. We can’t wait to celebrate Alaska’s wildlife with you!
Purchase your tickets online to secure your spot, we’ll only have a few tickets at the door. In celebration of our 45th Anniversary, the first 100 general admission tickets sold will receive our special anniversary pricing of only $45 (regularly $60). Your admission includes one entry for a door prize, one adult beverage voucher, appetizers, live entertainment, and the opportunity to bid on a variety of prizes through our silent auction. This year we are hosting a Grand Prize Raffle (see details below), and are selling raffle tickets in advance. We are also looking for event sponsors - we have a variety of sponsorship levels and benefits available. Click the link below to purchase your admission tickets, buy grand prize raffle tickets, or to become a sponsor.
This year, we are honored to feature a live performance by the Kingikmiut Dance Group! Get ready to dance, learn, and share in the Inupiaq wildlife traditions of northwest Alaska!
