This event will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 on Friday and from 9am to 5pm on Saturday at the USFWS Visitor’s Center. The workshop will feature the Alaska Wildlife Curriculum, Bears of Alaska Teacher’s Guide and the Fur and Skull Guides of Alaska Mammals.
Learn how you can use wildlife to teach adaptations, locomotion, animals signs, food chains/webs, ecology, habitat and patterns and inquiry! Open to parents, teachers, para-professionals, agency educators. 580 graduate level credit available, but not required. Meet with biologist NATE SVOBODA during dinner hour. Nate will be on hand to answer questions about wildlife in the Kodiak area. Cost $50 and includes the Alaska Wildlife Curriculum Guide and your choice of one supplemental guide.
