Wildlife Wednesday: Nocturnal in the North - Alaska's Bats

Join us for March’s Wildlife Wednesday, Nocturnal in the North: Alaska’s Bats, with ADFG wildlife biologist Arin Underwood. The presentation will be over Zoom.

Bats are the world’s only flying mammal and can be found throughout Alaska. Arin will teach us how bats survive life in the North, what they eat, and what to do if you find a bat.

Arin is based in Anchorage and supports research on boreal birds and small mammals including two citizen science projects: the southcentral bat monitoring project and the birds ‘n’ bogs program.
