Board member, John Morton, of the Alaska Wildlife Alliance (AWA) wrote a recent article published in the Peninsula Clarion about his beautiful adventure in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge (KNWR) last August. From glaciers to rivers and remote cabins to Tustumena lake, this tale tells it all!

John is our current board Vice President and is a former Supervisory Biologist at KNWR, and he knows a lot about where to explore! While we spend a lot of time working to protect Alaska's lands for wildlife, this is a great reminder about the importance of getting out and (safely) exploring and celebrating the nature around you. We like to get outside, too! Alaska is a beautiful state with so much to experience. Be sure to get outside and safely enjoy nature (and wildlife!) this summer!
