The AKBMP beluga monitoring spring season summary is here! AWA co-hosts two beluga monitoring sites with the Kenai Peninsula College, one on the Kenai River and another on the Kasilof River. Between the two sites, 49 volunteers observed for over 150 hours. While no belugas were spotted in the Kasilof, 49 out of the 67 monitoring sessions on the Kenai featured belugas.
