AWA's Former VP Interviewed by USGS

Alaska Wildlife Alliance’s former Vice President of the Board, John Morton, was recently interviewed by the US Geological Survey on the Resist, Accept, Direct (RAD) framework.

John retired from the US Fish and Wildlife Service after 32 years and served on the AWA’s board, bringing his expertise on invasive species and climate mitigation to our programs and the development of the.

RAD is a decision-making framework that was designed to help guide communities and agencies in their climate adaptation planning. In contrast to other climate adaptation approaches (e.g., Climate-Smart, Open Standards, Scenario Planning, or Structured Decision Making) that are open-ended, RAD carves up the decision space into three action-oriented bins.
