Speaking up for wildlife at the Southeast Board of Game meeting

Wolves can't attend the meetings where humans decide their population objectives or the methods and means allowed to kill them, but we can.

This weekend we’re in Ketchikan for the 2023 Southeast Board of Game meeting. This year, we submitted nine proposals on behalf of the genetically distinct Alexander Archipelago wolves. Through these proposals, we hope to protect these wolves from inbreeding and over-trapping. You can see all the proposals and public comments on the Board of Game website. Thank you to the members whose support makes this advocacy possible! We are so grateful for the opportunity to speak for Alaska's wildlife, including Alexander Archipelago wolves, since 1978. If you would like to support this work, become a member today!
